| 内容記述 | This paper examines the historical development of Sakata Strategy (Sakata Goho), a framework often cited as the foundation of Japanese chart analysis. Drawing on bibliographic and documentary sources, it traces how references to Honma Sokyu and his methods evolved from the Meiji period through the postwar decades. Early writings depicted Sokyu as an exemplar of moral discipline in investment, whereas later publications reinterpreted his ideas as a systematic technique for forecasting price movements. Using data from the National Diet Library Digital Collection, the study identifies how the term Sakata Strategy - first appearing in 1950 - spread rapidly during the 1980s bubble economy, when it was promoted in investment literature as rediscovered Tokugawa wisdom. | |||||||||||
