The author interviewed 20 patients with schizophrenia who were hospitalized in a rehabilitation ward. After one-week participant observation, the author interviewed them on various aspects of their present life satisfaction with five-point rating scale and the reasons for each rating. The reasons were analyzed by classifying into \"affirmative attitude\" or \"negative attitude\".
