本研究は、精神科デイケアに通所している12名の統合失調症者が、自らの障害に対する認識・受容と社会復帰後の生活について語った内容を検討したものである。半構成的面接を通して、統合失調症者が不本意ながら現状を維持し続ける理由として以下のことが明らかになった。1.精神科デイケアに通所している統合失調症者12名の内5名は、精神障害という病気によって、自分が社会的に不適応をきたしているという認識がなかった。2.自分が体験してきたことを精神障害と認識・受容している者が、必ずしも社会生活へ積極的な姿勢を示していなかった。3.彼らは、社会生活に適応しようと自己実現を目指してきたが、自分の障害を受け入れられなかったり、自分と社会との間にギャップを感じ、矛盾や葛藤を覚えていた。そのため、漠然とした形で、心の拠り所を求めながら、現状維持を続け公定をはかっていた。4.面接を通して、統合失調症者は自己の生活状況を言語化することにより、不本意ながら現状を維持している自己を再認識する機会となった。現実の生活を話し合うことは統合失調症者の自己洞察への働きかけとなった。 |

The present study analyzed the contents of interviews in which 12 schizophrenia patients who utilized psychiatric day care services talked about recognition and acceptance of their illness and their life after social reintegration. Through semi-structured interviews, the following reasons for schizophrenia patients to reluctantly maintain their current situations were extracted : 1) Five of the twelve schizophrenia patients who were utilizing psychiatric day care services did not realize that their mental disorder had led to social maladjustment. 2) Schizophrenia patients who recognized and accepted their mental disorder did not necessarily have positive attitudes towards social life. 3) While the patients were aiming for self-actualization in adapting to society, some could not accept their disorder, felt a gap between the self and society, or experienced contradictions and conflicts. 4) By verbalizing their living conditions, interviews gave the patients an opportunity to recognize that they were reluctantly maintaining their current situations. Talking about current living allowed schizophrenia patients to work toward self-awareness. |
